Message	Recently my '93 TT has developed a rattle coming from the gear shift lever just below the boot. I tend to hang onto the lever and doing so results in some rattling sounds. I can hold it in a position that doesn't rattle but that takes work and is annoying. Letting go you sometimes get the rattle and sometimes not. What is rattling and is there a way to lubricate/resolve it? Checked gear box oil and it was at the appropriate level. Noise does not sound like it's coming from tranny anyway.
